Part A — General Terms
A1. Duty of care
Everyone using our studios is expected to treat the premises and equipment with care.
Please report damaged or defective equipment to an instructor or studio management immediately and do not use equipment that appears unsafe.
Damage caused intentionally or through negligence may be charged to the person responsible. Parents and legal representatives are responsible for children in their care.
A2. Health, participation and responsibility
Our instructors make every effort to plan and teach sessions safely and appropriately for the participants attending.
Please let your instructor know before class about injuries, pregnancy, medical conditions or other circumstances that may affect your ability to participate safely. You are responsible for training within your own limits and should stop and inform your instructor if you experience pain, dizziness or feel unwell.
Participation in classes, private sessions and other activities is at the participant's own risk. Participants are responsible for maintaining appropriate accident and personal liability insurance.
Serratonin Pilates GmbH's liability is excluded to the extent permitted by Swiss law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Children's courses: Parents or legal representatives are responsible for the supervision of children before and after their class.
A3. Booking group classes
Group classes are booked through SportsNow. A valid booking and corresponding single entry or class pass are required to attend.
Bookings may be made until the start of the class, subject to availability.
If a class is full, you may join the waiting list through SportsNow.
A4. Cancelling a group class
You may cancel your booking through SportsNow up to 24 hours before the class starts. Your class credit will be returned to your pass.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class starts are not refunded and the credit is deducted from your pass.
We still appreciate late cancellations: if you know you cannot attend, cancelling your booking makes the place available to another participant.
A5. Classes cancelled by us
Our group classes require a minimum of 3 participants.
If fewer than 3 participants are registered 24 hours before the class starts, the class will be cancelled. If we cancel a class, your credit will be returned to your pass.
We may also close the studio or cancel classes because of illness, maintenance, workshops, private hire, public holidays or other operational reasons. Where an existing booking is affected, the corresponding credit will be returned.
A6. Passes and payment
Single entries and class passes can be purchased through SportsNow or by contacting Serratonin Pilates directly.
SportsNow: Single entries be purchased by Twint or credit card. Multi session passes (e.g. 10x, 20x) can be purchased through SportsNow by credit card. A credit-card processing fee is added to the pass price.

Serratonin Pilates GmbH accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal property to the extent permitted by law.
A8. Data protection and booking systems
We process personal data where necessary to manage clients, bookings, payments and studio access, in accordance with applicable Swiss data-protection law and our Privacy Policy.
Bookings and related client administration are handled through SportsNow. Access to the I Train studio additionally uses a Gantner access system, and access and check-in events may be recorded for operational and security purposes.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version applicable to a booking is the version in force at the time the booking is made.
Material changes affecting active clients will be communicated where appropriate.
A10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law.
The place of jurisdiction is Basel, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory statutory place of jurisdiction.
Part B — I Train Self-Training
These terms apply in addition to Part A whenever you book an I Train Self-Training session.
B1. What I Train is
I Train is Serratonin Pilates' independent Self-Training studio at Hardstrasse 24, 4052 Basel.
Self-Training sessions take place without an instructor present and may take place without any member of staff on the premises. You book your own time slot, access the studio using the designated check-in system and train independently.
By booking an I Train session, you also agree to follow the I Train Studio Rules, displayed in the studio and published on our website.
B2. Eligibility
I Train is available only to eligible Serratonin Pilates clients who have been approved for independent training.
To use I Train, you must:
- be 18 years of age or older;
- have completed at least 15 Serratonin Pilates group classes; and
- complete the required health and readiness information before your first Self-Training session.
These requirements are intended to ensure that you already have sufficient familiarity with Pilates equipment and Serratonin's approach to train independently.
Access to I Train remains at the discretion of Serratonin Pilates. We may require additional instruction before granting or continuing Self-Training access if we consider this necessary for safe equipment use.
B3. Training independently
I Train is unsupervised. You are responsible for training safely, using equipment correctly and remaining within your own abilities.
Only use equipment that you know how to operate safely. Do not attempt to learn unfamiliar equipment or exercises for the first time during an unsupervised session.
Stop training immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, illness or any other symptom that makes continuing unsafe.
Do not use equipment that appears damaged or unsafe. Report defects or hazards to Serratonin Pilates as soon as possible.
You are responsible for informing us of relevant changes to your health, injuries, pregnancy or other circumstances that could affect your ability to train safely.
B4. Booking, cancellation and check-in
Every visit requires your own valid I Train booking and pass.
You may enter the I Train studio from 15 minutes before your booked session.
To enter, open SportsNow → Studios → Serratonin Pilates → Check-in, tap “Scan now”, and scan the QR code at the access terminal. A green confirmation indicates that the door has been released.
Your I Train credit is deducted when you check in.
Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the session starts. If you cancel within the permitted cancellation period, your credit is returned. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.
Repeated no-shows or misuse of the booking or access system may result in suspension or withdrawal of I Train access.
B5. Capacity, access and conduct
I Train has a maximum capacity of 4 clients per Self-Training session, corresponding to the four Reformers.
Bookings, passes and access are personal. You may not share your booking, pass or access credentials, bring guests into the studio, or allow another person to enter without their own valid booking and authorisation.
Please leave the studio ready for the next client and follow all instructions in the I Train Studio Rules, including requirements concerning equipment, cleaning and securing the premises.
Before leaving, ensure that the studio is secure and that the entrance door closes and locks behind you.
Serious or repeated breaches of these terms or the I Train Studio Rules may result in suspension or withdrawal of I Train access.
B6. I Train passes and payment
I Train sessions and passes can be purchased through SportsNow or by contacting Serratonin Pilates directly.
SportsNow: Single entries be purchased by Twint or credit card. Multi session passes (e.g. 5x, 10x) can be purchased through SportsNow by credit card. A credit-card processing fee is added to the pass price.
Bank Transfer: To pay by bank transfer, contact the studio to request an invoice. No credit-card processing fee applies to bank-transfer payments.
Current Self-Training options are:
- Single Session: CHF 25 — valid for 10 weeks
- 5 Sessions: CHF 115 — valid for 6 months
- 10 Sessions: CHF 220 — valid for 12 months
Passes are personal and non-transferable.
Payments are made through the available electronic payment methods or by invoice or bank transfer where arranged with the studio. Cash payments are not accepted.
Prices and conditions applicable at the time of purchase apply.
B7. Emergencies
In a medical emergency, call 144.
The studio address, emergency information, exit routes and location of the first-aid equipment are displayed in the studio. Please familiarise yourself with them before beginning your first independent session.
Because Self-Training is unsupervised, there may be no member of staff present to assist you in an emergency.
B8. Liability
Participation in I Train Self-Training is at the participant's own risk.
Serratonin Pilates GmbH excludes liability for injury, loss or damage arising from participation in unsupervised Self-Training or use of the studio and equipment to the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence or intent, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Participants are responsible for maintaining their own accident and personal liability insurance. Serratonin Pilates does not provide insurance cover for participants.
